- The Venice International Critics’ Week announced the lineup Monday, naming seven competition world premieres and two out-of-competition gala films for its 41st edition.
- The selection includes a pronounced Colombian presence with The End of Times by Bibiana Rojas Gómez and Juan David Cárdenas and Sebastián Múnera’s Meteorite alongside debuts from India, Tunisia, China, Brazil and Italy.
- All seven competition films are first features and world premieres, and they are eligible to compete for the Lion of the Future prize, which carries a $100,000 award.
