  • Olympic champion Darja Varfolomeev won the individual all-around title in Varna on Saturday despite feeling unwell and suffering a painful wisdom tooth, and she advanced to finals in three apparatus while missing the clubs final after mistakes in qualifying.
  • The championships are using a new all-around final format that reduces the field from 20 to the top 10 after the hoop and ball rotations so only those ten gymnasts continue with clubs and ribbon.
