- Daily cigarette smoking among high school students fell to 2.9% in 2024 from 15.5% in 2018, while exclusive e‑cigarette use grew to 4% from 0.8%.
- Use is higher in vocational schools, where 11.1% vape daily versus 5.3% in general and technological lycées, and experimentation there reached 58.7%.
- Overall, 46% of high schoolers had tried e‑cigarettes in 2024, with girls reporting slightly more experimentation than boys, 48.7% versus 43.2%.
