Valencia and Port Authority Set 2026 Tender Plan for Desembocadura Park

The project extends the Turia garden to the sea as the city accelerates the Marina’s shift into a designated technology enclave.

Overview

  • Mayor María José Catalá said a cooperation agreement with the Port Authority will be signed in the coming weeks following the APV board meeting.
  • City hall will submit the Desembocadura Park project before summer so the APV can launch the tender this year, with the aim of issuing it before year’s end.
  • The planned green space exceeds 100,000 square meters and would complete the city’s connection from the Turia park to the Mediterranean.
  • The APV has opened the concession for the Marina’s last pending base, Victory Challenge, to host innovation and technology businesses.
  • The Marina has received recognition as a technology enclave with final formalities underway with the Generalitat, and officials cite roughly €35 million mobilized to date plus three joint works totaling €14 million.
