Vadodara Opens NETRAM Command Centre to Unify CCTV for Real-Time Policing

• Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi inaugurated the Vadodara City Police Command and Control Centre on March 21 at Police Bhavan.
• Police leaders said the facility enables real-time crime detection, traffic management and coordination during major festivals and city events.
• Authorities reported thousands of video feeds integrated, with figures ranging from 1,316 NETRAM-linked cameras to 2,608 police units plus 7,000 private feeds.
• Officials said upcoming upgrades will add facial recognition and automatic number plate recognition to accelerate identification and investigations.
• The launch formed part of a Rs 538 crore package of civic and police projects, as the NETRAM/Vishwas network expands across 46 cities with district hubs and the Trinetra state centre equipped for advanced analytics.
