Overview
- Uttar Pradesh will recruit more than 81,000 police personnel in 2026–27, the chief minister said after a Thursday night review, with some selections already underway.
- Openings include sub-inspector, civil police constable, radio assistant operator, computer operator Grade-A and confidential sub-inspector, with the recruitment board told to finish on time under merit and reservation rules.
- Officials were directed to cut PRV-112 emergency response times beyond the current six-minute average using data-based patrols, strategic vehicle placement and tighter field coordination.
- Fire services were ordered to place at least one hydraulic tender in every district and to meet a One Tehsil–One Fire Tender goal after about 42,000 incidents were handled in 2025–26.
- Cyber units reported securing roughly ₹425.7 crore through fast technical interventions and raised the 1930 helpline’s capacity from about 1,700 to around 7,400 calls a day, with further upgrades planned.
