Utah Mammoth Open 146,000-Square-Foot Training Center as Camp Begins

Built in roughly 13 months, the tech-focused complex centralizes operations to boost player development.

Overview

  • The Sandy facility features two NHL-size rinks, an 8,000-plus-square-foot gym, advanced LPS player tracking, a full recovery suite, and automated skate systems.
  • Designed by Babcock Design and built by Layton Construction, the project used more than 50 Utah contractors and about 175,000 labor hours from groundbreaking to player move-in.
  • Training camp is underway with capacity for the full 66-player preseason roster using main and overflow locker rooms.
  • Public elements such as a team store, skate rentals, locker rooms, concessions, and community ice programs are slated to open in early 2026, with select practices available to fans before then.
  • General manager Bill Armstrong said goaltender Connor Ingram will be placed on waivers by mutual agreement as the club sets a goal of qualifying for the 2025–26 playoffs.
