  • Friday prelims at BYU produced the top-eight qualifiers for the 4A finals scheduled Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
  • Desert Hills senior Chesney Bonner led the 4A girls in both the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, and Provo’s Claire Pocock topped the 200 individual medley.
  • Murray’s Marcus Richter (200 IM), Crimson Cliffs’ Taylor Fox (100 fly) and Mountain Crest’s Brigham Skinner (100 back) posted leading 4A boys times as defending event champions.
  • 3A prelims wrapped Friday evening with finals slated for Saturday at 5 p.m. at BYU.
  • Canyon View paced multiple 3A events, including relays and standout swims from Gracie Taylor and Ty Lauer, with teammates such as Sean Cannon and Ryker Poulos also recording top prelim times.
