USPS Publishes Final Christmas Shipping Deadlines as Peak Week Starts

USPS says seasonal hires, new vehicles and 620 processing machines raise daily package capacity to about 80 million.

  • For delivery by Dec. 25, USPS recommends mailing by Dec. 17 for Ground Advantage and First-Class, Dec. 18 for Priority Mail, and Dec. 20 for Priority Mail Express.
  • USPS lists separate cutoffs for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. territories, including Dec. 16 for Ground Advantage, Dec. 17 for First-Class, Dec. 18 for Priority Mail and Dec. 20 for Priority Mail Express.
