Overview
- Norwegian Chief of Defence Gen. Eirik Kristoffersen visited Kjeller Air Base on Feb. 23, received a briefing inside the Combined Joint Logistics Operations Center, and underlined that logistics is decisive for operations.
- U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Maura Hennigan is scheduled to assume CJLSG command on Feb. 27 for the live phase, with Brig. Gen. Nina S. Berg to resume command for the computer‑aided phase that follows.
- Established in January 2026, the CJLSG is the first fully integrated U.S.–Norwegian logistics headquarters and has been managing reception, staging, onward movement, and sustainment since mid‑January.
- The headquarters is sustaining a 12‑nation force of more than 25,000 personnel by providing continuous supplies, maintenance, engineering, and health services across the exercise.
- To accelerate force reception, U.S. Marines drew over 14,000 prepositioned items from Norway’s Marine Corps Prepositioning Program, enabling rapid integration with allied units for Cold Response 26.
