Overview
- The U.S. will play five games in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from March 11–17 against Senegal, Puerto Rico, Italy, New Zealand and Spain.
- First-time senior selections include Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen alongside veterans Aliyah Boston, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Dearica Hamby and Rhyne Howard.
- Head coach Kara Lawson will lead early games before returning to Duke for NCAA duties, with assistants Natalie Nakase, Nate Tibbetts and Stephanie White finishing the tournament.
- Breanna Stewart will participate in a March 7–8 training camp in Miami but will not play in the qualifier.
- Managing director Sue Bird selected the roster and will continue evaluations ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin from Sept. 4–13.
