USA Hockey Names 47 Players for 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase

The invite list will give U.S. coaches an early chance to evaluate NHL-drafted prospects and shape the roster for the 2027 World Junior Championship.

USA Hockey announced the 47-player invite list on Tuesday, June 30, and will split the group into Team Blue and Team White for opening games before consolidating into a single Team USA for the final matchups.
The roster includes five goaltenders, 16 defensemen and 26 forwards, matching USA Hockey’s official breakdown for the July 26–Aug. 1 showcase in Windsor, Ontario.

John Vanbiesbrouck will serve as general manager and Adam Nightingale as head coach for the evaluation event hosted by Hockey Canada, which is meant to inform final selections for the Dec. 2026–Jan. 2027 World Junior Championship in Edmonton and Red Deer.
