- U.S. Soccer announced Tuesday a four-match September–October slate: Peru at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando on Sept. 26, Chile at Energizer Park in St. Louis on Sept. 29, Mexico at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 3, and Canada at Allianz Field in St. Paul on Oct. 6.
- The federation confirmed Mauricio Pochettino’s contract extension through 2030 and said these friendlies kick off a new cycle under his leadership focused on building the squad after the World Cup.
- Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Aug. 7 with venue and club presales beginning Aug. 5–6, and the matches will be carried by TNT/HBO Max, Telemundo/Universo and Peacock.
- Canada confirmed travel to St. Paul and coach Jesse Marsch called the Oct. 6 match a meaningful test in the long rivalry, which will be the teams’ 43rd meeting and follows Canada’s two recent wins over the U.S.
- Because FIFA combined the September and October windows this year, U.S. Soccer used the single block to fit four tune-ups before the Nations League quarterfinals in November and the start of World Cup qualifying next year, concentrating preparation and reducing later friendly opportunities.
