Overview
- The production order funds hundreds of MIDS JTRS terminals for U.S. forces and allied partners.
- Deliveries are planned for more than 45 U.S. and international platform types, including unmanned aerial vehicles and armored command-and-control vehicles.
- The four-channel, software-defined radios run Link 16 plus up to three additional protocols and incorporate Tactical Targeting Networking Technology for low-latency, jam-resistant communications.
- The Department of Defense has already fielded MIDS JTRS on F-15, F-16, F/A-18, and F-22 aircraft as well as on maritime vessels and ground C2 assets.
- Work will be performed at facilities in Wayne, New Jersey, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa under an IDIQ framework established in 2024 that was reported with a ceiling near $1 billion.
