- David Hart, 22, of West Winfield, New York, received a one-year federal sentence on January 6 in the Northern District of New York.
- He made 95 bogus 999 calls from late October to mid November 2023, including 66 to London numbers.
- Targets included seven hospitals, six bars, restaurants and supermarkets, two police control rooms and a cancer support center, with one hospital placed in full lockdown during searches.
- Recorded threats included, “I’ve put a bomb in your corridor bathroom. You have exactly 12 seconds to get out of that building.”
- The US prosecution followed a joint investigation with the Metropolitan Police and the Department of Homeland Security, and he twice tried calling Westminster Abbey without getting through.
