Overview
- Most states advance clocks from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 8, 2026, and revert from 2:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
- Hawaiʻi, most of Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) and several U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico and Guam, do not observe the clock changes.
- California, Florida, Texas and New York confirm they will follow the same federal dates, with adjustments made at 2:00 a.m. in their respective time zones.
- Most smartphones, computers and connected TVs update automatically, while analog clocks, ovens, microwaves, vehicle dashboards and some thermostats need manual changes.
- Authorities recommend setting manual clocks the night before, confirming automatic settings and travel times, and using the switch as a reminder to test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
