Overview
- U.S. Central Command said on Monday that American forces conducted a ninth straight night of air and sea strikes targeting Iranian command centers, air defenses, coastal surveillance, missile and drone launch sites, maritime capabilities and communications networks.
- The strikes follow an Iranian missile attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan that killed at least two U.S. service members and the later confirmed death of a third U.S. service member in northern Iraq during a controlled detonation of an unexploded Iranian drone.
- Iran has launched missiles and drones at U.S. allied states including Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, claimed — without independent verification — it shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper, and reported civilian casualties from U.S. strikes in multiple cities.
