U.S. Awards $33.19 Million Top Aces Deal to Train Argentina’s F-16 Instructors

Buenos Aires frames the U.S.-signed contract as part of an existing LOA that does not add new Argentine costs.

Overview

  • The U.S. Department of Defense awarded a fixed-price $33,193,783 contract to Top Aces Corp. to train F-16 pilot instructors for Argentina.
  • Roughly $22.75 million is obligated in the current fiscal year, with training conducted in Argentina at Área de Material Río Cuarto and completion targeted for June 30, 2029.
  • The Argentine Air Force said the agreement was signed by the U.S. government under an LOA framework and asserted it is not a separate or additional national expense.

  • The training contract advances the operational rollout of 24 F-16s acquired from Denmark, following the delivery of the first six jets to Río Cuarto in December 2025.
