URBN Plans 1,000‑Plus Hires and 975,000‑Sq‑Ft Nuuly Warehouse in Philadelphia Region

Rapid growth in Nuuly subscriptions is prompting URBN to spend $150 million with state incentives to build logistics capacity in Bucks County.

Overview

  • URBN announced Monday that it will hire more than 1,000 workers in the Philadelphia region over five years, with hiring phased from the facility opening through 2031.
  • The company says at least 450 roles will be added at its Navy Yard headquarters and at least 600 jobs will be created at a new Nuuly distribution site in Falls Township, Bucks County.
  • The Falls Township facility will total about 975,000 square feet at East Penn Valley Road and Route 13, is expected to open in 2028, and will include offices, laundry and packaging operations for the rental service.
  • Nuuly, launched in 2019, has grown to roughly 450,000–500,000 subscribers and accounted for about 9.2% of URBN’s recent net sales, a scale that company filings and executives say is driving the new logistics build-out.
  • The state is supporting the project with permit fast‑track status and Keystone Opportunity Zone benefits while URBN plans roughly $150 million in capital spending, a move the company and officials say will expand local jobs and operations from its long‑standing Navy Yard base.
