URA Launches 3.7 ha Town Hall Link Tender to Kickstart Next Phase of Jurong Lake District

The mixed‑use parcel is offered to private developers to deliver homes, offices and amenities as part of a government plan to shift jobs and services westward.

Overview

  • The Urban Redevelopment Authority has put a 3.7‑hectare site at Town Hall Link up for public tender with requirements for at least 40,000 sqm of office space, about 44,000 sqm GFA of complementary uses and provision for up to 1,200 private homes.
  • The tender is open now and will close at noon on 17 November 2026, giving developers a defined window to bid for the parcel intended to form the core of the next Jurong Lake District precinct.
  • The government will carry out upfront infrastructure works south of Jurong Town Hall Road, including demolition, new roads, a common services tunnel and an underground pedestrian link to an upcoming Cross Island Line station scheduled for 2032.
  • Some public agencies, including the Land Transport Authority and the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, are studying possible office moves to Jurong Lake District but no relocations have been confirmed.
  • Jurong Lake District is a long‑standing decentralisation project covering more than 410 ha that the state expects will eventually support over 100,000 jobs and about 20,000 homes while serving nearby communities and businesses.
