UP Cabinet Greenlights State-Level Rozgar Mission

The mission features a state-run overseas recruitment licence, an integrated placement portal, expanded factory safety rules for women.

Overview

  • UP Cabinet approved the formation of the UP Rozgar Mission with targets to place 100,000 youths in private-sector roles domestically and 25,000–30,000 abroad within a year.
  • The state will secure its own recruitment licence to directly arrange overseas placements in high-demand sectors such as nursing, paramedical work, skilled labour and driving.
  • Amendments to the 1950 Factory Rules now permit women to work in all 29 hazardous factory categories under specified safety protocols.
  • The mission will operate through a governing council chaired by the chief minister, a state steering committee and district executive committees to oversee placements.
  • An integrated portal will collect graduate data, facilitate campus placements, provide pre-departure training and track candidates until deployment.
