UP Board Sets Two-Phase Schedule for 2026 Class 12 Practicals, Skips Jan 29–30 for UPTET

The plan staggers districts to avoid UP TET clashes, tightening oversight through mandatory CCTV recordings with marks uploads starting January 10.

Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education set practical exams in two phases, with specific dates and guidelines issued for different divisions across the state.

Overview

  • Phase 1 runs January 24 to February 1 for districts including Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan and Basti.
  • Phase 2 is set for February 2 to 9 across districts including Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.
  • January 29 and 30 are excluded due to the UP TET, with secondary schools directed to treat those dates as holidays and not hold other exams.
  • CCTV coverage is mandatory for practicals with recordings preserved or uploaded; Class 10 practicals remain school-level internal assessments, and principals will upload Class 10 and specified Class 12 marks on upmsp.edu.in from January 10.
  • Pre-board practicals for Class 12 will be held in the first week of January, and UPMSP has also posted 7,448 exam centres for 2026 with objections open until December 22 as theory exams run February 18 to March 12.
