UP Board Releases 2026–27 Academic Calendar as New Session Starts April 1

The directive sets firm deadlines to standardize school operations statewide.

Overview

  • UPMSP’s new calendar takes effect with the session opening on April 1, 2026, putting schools on a fixed timeline for teaching, testing and results work.
  • Assessments run in stages with MCQ unit tests in July, descriptive tests in late August, half-yearly practicals in late September and written papers in October, then pre-boards in January and board practicals from January 27 to February 10 for February 2027 theory exams.
  • Class 9 registration begins April 1 with mandatory verification of names, parents’ details and birth dates, and high school and intermediate applicants require a parent no-objection certificate before exam forms.
  • Principals must upload attendance online from day one and enforce a 75% minimum, ban student mobiles on campus, run weekly English prayer assemblies, set up Cyber Clubs for safe internet use, and secure answer sheets and homework for later mark uploads due by the third week of March 2027.
  • In a parallel update, Madhya Pradesh’s board scheduled its second exams for May 7–19 (Class 10) and May 7–25 (Class 12), a sign that state boards are locking in timelines across the region.
