Overview

  • The field is divided into four eight-player pods with seeding determined by votes from fans, players, coaches and media, led by No. 1 seeds Paige Bueckers, Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray and Kelsey Mitchell.
  • The tournament runs at Sephora Arena in Medley, Florida, with the first round Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET on truTV/HBO Max, the second round and quarterfinals Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT/truTV/HBO Max, and the semifinals and final Saturday at 6 p.m. ET on TNT/truTV/HBO Max.
  • Prize money totals $300,000, including $200,000 for the champion, $50,000 for the runner-up and $25,000 for each losing semifinalist.
  • Rules feature single-elimination games to 11 points or 10 minutes through the semifinals, a best-of-three final to eight, make-it-take-it possessions, a seven-second shot clock and one free throw worth the value of the attempted shot on shooting fouls.
  • Opening matchups include Stewart vs. Li Yueru, Bueckers vs. Kate Martin, Mitchell vs. Rachel Banham and Gray vs. Saniya Rivers.
