Universal Orlando Shuts Hogwarts Express Feb. 9–23 for Maintenance
A stationary train photo opportunity in Hogsmeade substitutes during the shutdown.
Overview
- Universal lists the attraction to return to service on February 24 after the two-week outage.
- With the train down, guests must walk between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure via CityWalk, a roughly five-minute trip.
- A conductor meet-and-greet accompanies the stationary engine in Hogsmeade, though it does not replicate the on-board experience.
- The ride’s complex trains, projection, audio and climate-control systems drive recurring scheduled upkeep, following closures in May, September and December 2025.
- Separately, Rail Events Inc. says a touring experience titled “Harry Potter: A Hogwarts Express Adventure” is in development for a 2026 launch.
