Universal Expands Midsummer Scream Presence to Preview Halloween Horror Nights 2026

The larger presence will let Universal sell early merchandise, host a John Murdy panel, stage character activations, position new HHN reveals for the fall.

Overview

  • Universal confirmed it will return to Midsummer Scream in Long Beach with an expanded booth and program during the convention running August 7–9.
  • The line-up includes a Universal Studios Hollywood-focused panel featuring executive producer John Murdy and a behind‑the‑scenes session on creative collaborations.
  • Fans will get first-look and early-release merchandise across multiple lines, including Universal Monsters and Halloween II, plus Midsummer Scream‑exclusive prints with complimentary artist signings.
  • On-site activations will include photo opportunities and character meet‑and‑greets, and a Hall of Shadows feature showcasing icons from the Las Vegas Universal Horror Unleashed offering.
  • So far only one Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood house — 'Sinners,' which will appear at both U.S. parks — has been revealed and Universal is expected to use Midsummer Scream to disclose additional details before HHN opens (Orlando Aug. 28; Hollywood Sept. 3).
