Universal Adds 'Stranger Things' Lagoon Spectacular to Halloween Horror Nights 35

The six-show, 13-minute production adds fixed-time entertainment that reshapes guest planning given this year's higher multi-night prices and altered Express access.

Overview

  • The lagoon show debuted when HHN 35 opened on Friday, Aug. 28, and is performed six times each event night with viewing from the Central Park/Hollywood side of the Universal Studios Florida lagoon.
  • Universal frames Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins as a WSQK radio-style retrospective that uses towering water and mist screens, projections, lighting, immersive audio, and a licensed soundtrack in a roughly 13-minute sequence.
  • Performances are scheduled at 9:00 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11:15 p.m., 12:00 a.m., and 12:45 a.m., giving guests multiple fixed-time opportunities but also new timing constraints for touring the event.
  • The show is part of the separately ticketed Halloween Horror Nights 35 lineup and Universal has not announced a separate surcharge or a permanent installation beyond the HHN run.
  • Stranger Things now plays two major roles at HHN 35 through the lagoon production and a Stranger Things 5 haunted house, a prominence that coincides with higher multi-night pass tiers and the Sept. 8 release of Halloween: The Game as an alternate draw for horror fans.
