Overview
- Universal announced MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals on Wednesday, June 24, adding an original, high-intensity haunted house to the HHN35 roster.
- The house places guests in a long-abandoned zoo that has become the territory of warring cannibal factions that have adopted animal instincts and view visitors as prey.
- Universal creative lead Lora Sauls said the concept sprang from an internal brainstorm and called MADLANDS “one of our bloodiest this year,” with a strong scenic aesthetic and teased sensory elements such as distinctive smells.
- MADLANDS joins other original attractions including the returning legacy character H. R. Bloodengutz and sits alongside licensed houses like Stranger Things Season 5 and Sinners as Universal builds a mixed lineup.
- Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs select nights from August 28 through November 1 and tickets plus event upgrades are already on sale, with Universal releasing houses incrementally to drive sales and marketing.
