Universal Adds Evil Dead Burn and Fortnite Scare Zone to Halloween Horror Nights, Raises Multi‑Night Prices

The new IP additions deepen HHN 35’s commercial push while the higher pass prices change how frequent visitors must budget for repeat nights.

Overview

  • Universal announced on Tuesday that an Evil Dead Burn haunted house will run at Universal Orlando starting Aug. 28 and at Universal Studios Hollywood starting Sept. 3, placing guests inside scenes that begin at the Price family’s secluded vacation home.
  • On Wednesday Universal confirmed a Fortnitemares scare zone called Freaky Fields for both parks, complete with a Battle Bus set piece, new scare characters and a Fortnitemares merchandise line.
  • Universal released its 2026 multi‑night Fear passes on July 21 with higher base prices across all tiers and removed season‑long multi‑night packages that included Express Pass access.
  • Express access remains available for single nights but must now be bought separately per date, which increases planning complexity and the potential out‑of‑pocket cost for repeat visitors who previously bought bundled Express with multi‑night passes.
  • HHN 35’s creative lineup now blends recent film and game tie‑ins with original houses, five scare zones, a Stranger Things lagoon show and stage entertainment, and Universal has not confirmed that no further announcements will follow.
