Overview
- United confirmed it will begin serving 30 Chef’s Table–designed dishes on select long‑haul Polaris flights starting August 1, 2026.
- Passengers can pre-order meals on united.com or the United app from five days to 24 hours before departure and selected Chef’s Table: Talks episodes will appear on seatback screens beginning July 1.
- The first wave pairs 11 chefs from four continents with United hubs and gateways, with each chef offering an appetizer, a salad, and an entrée tied to the departure city.
- Chef’s Table Projects and United say the dishes were engineered for inflight service so flavors hold up after cooling, transport, and galley reheating at 35,000 feet.
- The rollout builds on United’s $150 million 2025 food-and-beverage upgrade but its impact will depend on consistent execution by caterers, galley reheating limits, crew plating, and supply logistics as menus rotate into 2027.
