Overview
- United’s first Elevated 787-9 long-haul flights are scheduled SFO–SIN on April 22 (UA1) and SFO–LHR on April 30 (UA901), with limited domestic SFO–IAH use beforehand.
- The aircraft introduces eight Polaris Studio suites about 25% larger than standard Polaris, featuring a 27-inch 4K OLED screen, wireless charging, Bluetooth and an ottoman in most seats.
- Upgrades span all cabins, including redesigned Polaris pods, enhanced Premium Plus with privacy dividers and reading lights, and 13-inch 4K screens with Bluetooth at every economy seat.
- Published pricing for the SFO–SIN inaugural shows notable premiums: about $6,258 in Polaris, $2,718 in Premium Plus and roughly $704–$800 in economy, with awards at 300k/200k/75k miles respectively.
- Systems and hardware remain in rollout: some seat maps still show older layouts, initial Studio access is showing as a $499 per-segment upgrade on select flights, and suite doors are pending certification.
