- Union Berlin, which held its topping-out ceremony Wednesday at the Alte Försterei site, said the shell is complete and the project remains on schedule.
- The three-storey, roughly 4,100-square-meter hub will group identical locker rooms on the ground floor, a shared strength and dining level above, and offices and meeting rooms on the top floor.
- Both pro teams will train under one roof with the same facilities, including physiotherapy and recovery spaces with an anti-fatigue pool, sauna, a cold chamber, and large athletic areas.
- A natural-grass field will sit atop a 300-space parking garage and is planned for first training sessions in late summer, with heating, floodlights, and irrigation built in.
- The club pegs the cost at about €40 million from its own funds and targets full move-in by year’s end, with a separately planned stadium expansion slated for summer 2027.
