Overview
- The docuseries, announced Thursday, is slated for August 31, 2027 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death.
- The five hours of recordings were made in 1991 by close friend Dr. James Colthurst and later formed the backbone of Andrew Morton’s 1992 book.
- Love Monday TV, working with 53 Degrees Global, partnered with Morton and Colthurst to secure full exclusive access to the archive.
- Fewer than one hour of the material has ever been public, and the series will add first-hand accounts from figures in Diana’s circle such as Delissa Needham, Sam McKnight, Penny Thornton and Richard Kay.
- The production is fully financed by Rainmaker Films and Plymouth Films, and it is being shopped worldwide with no distributor attached yet.
