Ukraine’s Ceasefire Collapses Under New Russian Strikes and Mass Drone Attack

  • Ukraine’s Air Force, which reported Thursday that Russia launched 102 attack drones overnight, said air defenses downed 92 and confirmed eight strikes at six sites.
  • The General Staff said there were 157 combat engagements over the past day, with the Pokrovsk and Hulyaypil sectors seeing the most assaults that Ukrainian forces reported stopping.

  • The UN urged both sides to honor their ceasefire pledges and said two aid convoys reached hard hit areas, while Russia’s Foreign Ministry warned embassies to evacuate Kyiv before May 9 because of threatened strikes.
