Overview
- Ukraine’s military intelligence, which published the breakdown Monday, posted an interactive 3D model of the S-71K on its War&Sanctions site with a full parts list.
- The missile uses a 250 kilogram OFAB-250-270 bomb in its nose, an R500 turbojet from UAC subsidiary Reynolds, a fiberglass-based body, and an estimated range of about 300 kilometers.
- HUR says United Aircraft Corporation built the weapon for the Su-57 fighter, and it was first used in combat late 2025.
- The agency says most of the missile’s electronics come from the United States, China, Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and Ireland, and it calls for tighter export controls to stop such flows.
- HUR reports Russia is considering adapting the missile for the S-70 Okhotnik combat drone, a shift that could make launches harder to detect and intercept.
