Ukraine Reports 200+ Daily Clashes as Forces Strike Into Russia and Occupied Crimea

Intense drone and air attacks are causing civilian deaths, damaging transport and energy links, increasing pressure for an immediate ceasefire.

  • The General Staff said on Wednesday that Ukrainian forces faced about 200 to 209 daily engagements with heavy use of aviation, guided bombs and thousands of kamikaze drones.
  • Russian strikes over 24–26 August killed and wounded civilians and damaged homes, energy sites and border checkpoints in Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

  • Counterintelligence and police reported multiple arrests and convictions of Russian agents who guided strikes, and security services in Kyiv and Kyiv region said they uncovered and defused a bomb intended to kill a defence‑industry executive.
  • Fifty countries and the EU formally urged Russia to accept an unconditional ceasefire while diaspora events such as the Run for Ukraine in The Hague mobilised public solidarity and aid.
