Overview
- The Air Force reported that overnight on March 8 Russia launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 117 attack drones, with 98 drones downed and confirmed impacts from two missiles and 19 drones at 11 sites.
- A day earlier, Ukrainian defenses said they neutralized 19 missiles and 453 of 480 drones during a mass strike that hit cities and infrastructure, with energy operator Ukrenergo reporting outages across multiple regions and repair crews at work.
- Regional authorities in Kharkiv reported eight civilians killed and 13 wounded over the day as residential buildings and other civilian facilities were damaged during the strikes.
