UiPath Launches Coding-Agents Platform to Let Business Teams Build Automations

The enterprise-ready product links coding agents to CI/CD, testing and governance to let non-developers create and operate automations via natural language.

Overview

  • UiPath has launched 'UiPath for Coding Agents' and made it available to enterprise customers to extend its Automation Suite with agentic AI.
  • The platform connects coding agents, including Code and OpenAI Codex, into CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, orchestration and governance so automations can be built, tested and deployed from natural-language conversations.
  • UiPath’s fiscal 2027 start showed revenue above expectations but a license-driven beat and net new ARR that was modestly below consensus, a mix that has left investors cautious.
  • Market reaction has been negative: PATH is down more than 28% year-to-date, short interest exceeds 30%, BMO cut its price target to $13 while keeping a Hold, and 74% of analysts rate the stock Hold.
  • If adopted, the platform could let business analysts and domain experts create more production automations without developers, but analysts say clear proof of recurring contract growth will be needed to justify higher valuations and fend off competition from Microsoft and ServiceNow.
