UFC Numbered Events Move to Paramount+ in Canada Starting 2027

The deal cuts costs for Canadian fans by replacing per-event pay-per-view with access through a Paramount+ subscription.

Overview

  • A six-year exclusive agreement announced Thursday between the UFC and Paramount will put every numbered-event main card on Paramount+ in Canada beginning in January 2027.
  • Paramount+ will carry the main cards live at no extra charge to subscribers, effectively ending the traditional per-event pay-per-view fee for those marquee shows.
  • Sportsnet and TVA will keep domestic rights to preliminary bouts on numbered cards and to the annual UFC Fight Night slate, so some live coverage remains on linear TV.
  • Paramount said its U.S. and Latin America rollout earlier this year drew strong viewership and that specific Canadian rollout dates and the first events to stream will be named later in 2026.
  • The change responds to fan complaints about high PPV costs in Canada and shifts access from a roughly CAD $70–80 one-off fee to Paramount+ plans that start around CAD $7.99 per month.
