UFC Declines to Sign Larissa Pacheco, Per Matchmaker’s Email

The former PFL two-division champion just proved she can make 135 pounds with a Karate Combat knockout.

Larissa Pacheco showed an email attributed to UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard that said, "I am not interested but thank you," in response to a 135-pound inquiry.
After her PFL deal ended following a five-round loss to Cris Cyborg, Pacheco signed with Karate Combat and scored a tomahawk-elbow knockout at 135 pounds in Miami.
Pacheco is the only woman to defeat Kayla Harrison in MMA and she is PFL’s first two-division season champion.
She fought in the UFC in 2014 at age 19, dropping bouts to future champions Jessica Andrade and Germaine de Randamie.
Kayla Harrison has returned to training after neck surgery and her title defense against Amanda Nunes is expected to be rescheduled later this year.
