UCO Confirms Invoice Link in Secret Probe of PSOE Cash Payments

A preliminary analysis ties a professional firm’s invoice to party disbursements and has prompted the PSOE to accuse officials of leaking sealed case documents.

Overview

  • The Guardia Civil’s UCO searched PSOE headquarters on May 27 and seized accounting records, computer files and cash as part of a sealed inquiry into cash payments from 2017–2024.
  • The UCO’s first analysis confirmed an invoice from I. OLIVER & PARTNERS SL that investigators say connects professional-fee payments to persons under scrutiny in the Leire Díez strand of the case.
  • Party records delivered to investigators included Libros Diario for 2024–2025 with roughly 100,000 accounting entries and were used for on-site selective checks of names and accounts.
  • The PSOE filed a complaint with the Anti‑Corruption Prosecutor after media published screenshots the party says came from the sealed file and argued the leak could only originate with a court, prosecutor or UCO official.
  • Investigators stress that most seized material still needs detailed forensic analysis and that further judicial steps, including possible imputations, will depend on those deeper accounting results and follow-up probes.
