Overview
- The new work-in-progress clips, released Tuesday, highlight Observe Mode, a dedicated crouch, landing rolls, mantling speed boosts, added ziplines, and reworked combat.
- Observe Mode, borrowed from Assassin's Creed Shadows, lets players scan areas to find objectives, mark clues, and tag enemies through walls for easier tracking.
- Creative director Paul Fu said the new crouch changes Edward Kenway’s visibility at medium to long range and reduces movement cues to help set up stealth takedowns.
- Advanced Combat now includes a quick pistol shot that breaks an enemy’s guard, opening them up to follow-up attacks that were not possible before.
- Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced launches July 9 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
