Ubisoft Publishes Platform Specs for Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced

The official tables let players compare 4K upscaling, two ray tracing modes, PS5 Pro PSSR2 upscaling, strand-based hair before the July 9 launch.

Overview

  • Ubisoft released full, platform-specific graphical spec tables ahead of the game's PS5 launch, giving exact resolution, framerate and ray-tracing details for each mode.
  • On base PS5 the game offers three modes—Performance (2160p upscaled target 60FPS), Balanced (2160p upscaled target 40FPS) and Fidelity (2160p upscaled target 30FPS).
  • The PS5 Pro builds use PSSR2 upscaling to reach 2160p across modes, enable 'extended' ray tracing by default, and add Ubisoft’s strand-based hair rendering to characters and cutscenes.
  • An image circulated by Access The Animus shows Xbox Series X matching 2160p upscaled 30/40/60FPS options with extended ray tracing on Balanced and Fidelity, while Series S runs 1620p upscaled at 30FPS with standard ray tracing.
  • Ubisoft defines 'Standard' ray tracing as global illumination for diffuse lighting and 'Extended' as full support for global illumination plus reflections, and outlets expect hands-on footage and reviews to follow before the July 9, 2026 release.
