Uber to Launch Baidu’s Apollo Go Robotaxis in Dubai Next Month, Starting in Jumeirah

RTA-permitted Apollo Go rides will appear in Uber with fleet operations handled by New Horizon.

  • Service will initially cover select Jumeirah locations, with wider rollout dependent on operational results and further approvals.
  • Riders in the service area can be matched to an Apollo Go vehicle when booking UberX or Uber Comfort, or by choosing the new Autonomous option.
  • The companies say the deployment supports Dubai’s target for 25% of all transportation trips to be autonomous by 2030.
  • Baidu opened Apollo Go Park in January at Dubai Science Park to support overseas operations, simulation, and maintenance.
  • Apollo Go reports logging more than 240 million autonomous kilometers and over 17 million rides as of October 31, 2025, with operations in 22 cities.
