Typhoon Lagoon Reopens, Both Disney World Water Parks Now Open for Summer

The move gives Disney more capacity to spread summer crowds across six parks.

Overview

  • Typhoon Lagoon, which reopened Tuesday after a seasonal refurbishment, joins Blizzard Beach so both water parks run together for summer 2026 with availability listed at least through September 8.
  • Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests checking in between May 26 and September 8 get complimentary admission to one water park on arrival day, subject to weather and capacity limits.
  • The check-in perk is only for registered guests on the reservation, cannot be moved to another day, has no cash value, and excludes the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness.
  • Typhoon Lagoon’s H2O Glow Nights return on select evenings from June 2 to September 5 with after-hours access, shorter waits, and special character meet-and-greets.
  • Visible refreshes include new seating and updated signs, and running both parks at once offers families cooler rest-day options that can ease pressure on the four theme parks.
