Overview
- Segall announced Tuesday that Chrome and a limited two-song EP titled Love Fuzzz will be released on August 28 via Drag City and he released the lead single “Black Paint” with a live-shot video.
- The band spent a month rehearsing new material before tracking Chrome in six days at Sonic Ranch with producer Cooper Crain to capture a raw, live-band feel.
- Longtime collaborators Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin, Ben Boye, and drummer Evan Burrows perform across the record and the full band wrote roughly half the album’s songs with additional contributions from Matt Yoka and Denée Segall.
- The Love Fuzzz 7" collects two tracks from the sessions, including a reworked Twins-era song “Love Fuzzz” and the krautrock-tinged B-side “My Pet Guru.”
- Segall will support the releases with an August/September tour, which includes a sold-out Seattle KEXP BBQ date on August 22 and a September UK and European run featuring End Of The Road, Manchester Psych Fest, Edinburgh Psych Fest and a London O2 Forum Kentish Town show.
