Overview
- A motorbike and an SUV collided at the Partridge Lane and Broad Lane junction in Newdigate on Saturday evening, July 4, leaving a 66-year-old man from Crawley with serious injuries.
- A collision between a black Velo pedal cycle and a black Land Rover Discovery on Hollow Lane, Wotton on Sunday afternoon, July 5, left a 51-year-old man from London seriously hurt.
- Surrey Police issued public appeals on July 6–7 asking for any CCTV, dashcam, helmet camera or doorbell footage and witness statements to assist both inquiries.
- Officers have given incident reference numbers PR/45260079883 for the Newdigate crash and PR/45260080227 for the Wotton collision and say there have been no arrests or confirmed causes so far.
- Both crashes involved vulnerable road users on rural Surrey roads and police say timely video or eyewitness accounts could be decisive, asking people to contact 101 or Crimestoppers for anonymous tips.
