Overview
- The June 1 draw, with results published by NS&I on June 2, produced two £1,000,000 jackpot winners: bond 662EK268242 in Leeds (holder bought the bond in February 2026 and held £42,425) and bond 573GA618329 in Cheshire West & Chester (bought March 2024; holder £33,800).
- NS&I reported 5,954,593 tax‑free prizes in the June draw worth £376,627,975 and said 136,955,621,672 individual £1 bonds were eligible for selection.
- NS&I confirmed a July 1 change that raises the prize fund rate to 3.80% and shortens the odds from 23,000:1 to 22,000:1, a move NS&I estimates will add about 322,000 prizes and increase the July prize pot by roughly £60 million.
- The organisation apologised after identifying administrative failures that left some bereaved estates unpaid; it now estimates it owes about £367,000 to roughly 34,000 estates and will write to affected accounts holding £10 or more, while 2,796,246 unclaimed prizes worth about £121,903,050 remain outstanding.
- Winners are selected by NS&I’s ERNIE random number generator, two £1m top prizes are drawn each month, and savers can check results using NS&I’s prize checker or app to confirm and claim awards.
