Two Teen Girls Charged in East Boston Robbery and Assault

Both are due in Chelsea Juvenile Court.

Overview

  • Boston police responded to the Mobil at 5 Falcon St. Thursday around 8:54 p.m. after a report of a robbery and a person with a knife, though police did not report that a knife was used.
  • A woman told officers she saw about five teenage girls arguing with a clerk inside the store, then one took her wallet and the group ran.
  • She chased them to 425 Border Street, where she said she was shoved to the ground and kicked before getting her wallet back without the cash.
  • Officers found the group inside an apartment at that address, where the victim identified two suspects and a 14-year-old from Mattapan surrendered while a 16-year-old from Dorchester violently resisted arrest.
  • Police charged the 14-year-old with unarmed robbery and charged the 16-year-old with unarmed robbery, assault with intent to rob, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, and said other teens were identified and released.
