Two Shootings Along Linfield Road Leave Two Dead and One Critically Wounded

Police have launched a focused investigation seeking public tips after the back-to-back shootings in south Dallas.

  • A separate incident at about 2:09 p.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of Linfield Road left 28-year-old Nigel Calhoun dead and a second man in critical condition with no suspects in custody.
  • The afternoon case is logged under investigation number 093227-2026 and Dallas Police detectives have asked anyone with information to contact Det. Ronald Kramer while Det. Fernando Silva is the contact for the earlier case.
  • Both shootings occurred within the same South Dallas corridor near Illinois Avenue and I‑45, prompting neighborhood safety concerns and leaving investigators focused on identifying suspects and motives in the ongoing inquiries.
